Okonomiyaki Chigusa/お好み焼き 千草

Okonomiyaki Chigusa/お好み焼き 千草

Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, Osaka.
Slipping past the arcade’s noise, I’m drawn into a quiet alley.

There it is—“Chigusa,” tucked away.
The scent of old iron griddles teases my senses.

I order the famous “Chigusa-yaki.”
Loaded with cabbage, some pork too.
But it looks simple—unassuming.

Juuuu...
The sizzle hits my soul before it hits my stomach.

One bite.
…Delicious. Quietly so.

Fluffy inside, crisp outside.
The cabbage steals the show.
The sauce holds back—so the ingredients can speak.

This isn’t flash. This is skill.
Here, in a corner of Tenjinbashi, I feel like I just learned something about life.

Phew.
Didn’t know okonomiyaki could leave an afterglow.
